Anime Detour

View from our hotel.

Last weekend we went to St.Paul to an anime convention.
We actually weren't really feeling up to it since the previous week had been so hard, but it was a Christmas present from Matt's mom, and we had been planning it for so long, we went as planned.

I'm glad we did, because it was a really nice break!

Matt's mom watched Keita Thursday-Sunday. I was worried since he had been wanting to go home while we were evacuated... but apparently he had a really great time at his grandma's and didn't even ask about us, haha.

Anyway, we went to the convention with Matt's brothers and his brother's roommate. His youngest brother goes to the Twin Cities all the time, so we got there without any incident.
When we got to the hotel, there was a minor problem; Matt's mom had reserved the hotel, but forgot to pay. Luckily, his middle brother never spends money, so he had more than enough to help pay & his mom said she'd pay him back when he got home. (I thought it was weird that the hotel wouldn't charge the card used to reserve the place unless the person was there... but it worked out).

That's us at the hotel.

It was pretty crowded there... and next time we'll make sure to bring a cooler with sandwich meat so we don't spend alot on food.

Since the hotel had the "gaming room" on the top floor, the elevators were always full and busy. It was frustrating at times.
Eventually, the elevators broke on the last day. Matt and I walked up and down 10 flights of stairs to get to our hotel room.
I was out of breath at the end, but surprisingly, I didn't get stiff the next day or anything from it. I guess I'm in better shape than I thought, haha.
